Vice President of Communications
Tara has been the Director of Sales for Complete Music and Video of Austin for the past 3 years. Previously, she had won DJ of the year for 2005 and had the highest evaluations of any DJ in the company for 2004, 2005, and 2006. For the past several years she has grown the staff to 15 DJs and in 2007 she helped implement a 25% increase in sales.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a minor in philosophy. Tara spent the next several years touring across North America. She toured as a writer and performance poet, hosting writers’ workshops at such places as the University of Dayton, Tennessee, and UT. She was also the Hospitality Director for the National Poetry Slam in 2006 and 2007. She has three published chapbooks and 2 novels pending publication.
Tara has been a member if ISES since 2006 and was a Director at Large for 2007-2008. She is an expectant mother and enjoys sailing, scuba, landscaping, cooking, traveling and reading.
