Stacey Hoyt began her career as a stage manager for professional dance companies. She worked for such notable companies as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theater, Atlanta Ballet and Ballet Austin. In 2000 she returned to Austin to start a family. When she decided to embark on a new career as an event professional, she enrolled in Austin Community College and obtained a Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning. After short stints working for a caterer and an AV company, she spent three years planning meetings and special events for United Way Capital Area. She has recently started her own company, Stacey Hoyt Events, specializing in non-profit events and events involving technical production. She holds a BFA in Technical Theater from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and grew up in Buffalo, New York.
