Nancy Hoffmann-Allison
President Elect
Nancy
Nancy Hoffmann-Allison was born in Danville Illinois but considers herself a native of both Illinois and Arkansas since her childhood was divided between both states her entire life. After graduating from the infamous Central High School in Little Rock Arkansas Nancy attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas, then transferred on to The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she spent 4 years studying Art and Art History with a specialty in Watercolor, Lithography and Ceramics. With a special interest in film, Nancy volunteered on the Student Film committee for several semesters. Nancy returned to her hometown after college and spent several years attending Art classes at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Nancy always had a special interest in Art and Cooking. Nancy considers herself a Chef from Life Experience but was never traditionally trained in the art of cooking instead, at the early age of 10 Nancy took over cooking all of her family’s meals and taught herself the art of cooking with the assistance of her Mother and Grandmother. Since working her way through school as a waitress, prep cook, cook, bartender and later as a club, restaurant and banquet manager. The career path that she has followed was a natural transition from her love of the arts, gourmet food, the joy of cooking and the need to pay the rent. Nancy feels that her career really began with the Hilton Hotel where she was trained in Banquet and Club Management in Little Rock, Arkansas, then transferred to Austin, Texas where she resides today with her husband, Bob. Bob and Nancy Allison are the proud parents of three grown sons, Kalab, Kyler and Cody.

In 1989 Nancy founded N. Hoffmann & Company, Inc. DBA Hoffmann & Company Catering where she planned, designed menus, cooked and executed thousands of events for the next 19 years. During those years Nancy opened her kitchen and office doors to mentor many High School Students and Students from the Culinary Arts Schools. Many of her employees started their careers as apprentices with Hoffmann & Company Catering. In July 2006 Nancy sold the catering portion of her company and founded Allison’s Events, a full service Wedding and Event Consulting and Design Company. Allison’s Events is the natural progression of a long career in the special events industry.
